Workout might be your everyday routine. You must take shower afterwards in order to maintain good hygiene. But, if you skip the shower, take extra time to cleanse your face. Cleansing the face is especially important because your pores can get clogged after a hard workout. This way you can avoid pimples and a dull appearance.
During exercise, your skin can accumulate perspiration, grime and oil. You should thoroughly cleanse your skin directly after completing exercise to clear your pores and remove the sweat and grime that have built up during your workout. Harsh detergents are not necessary to accomplish this, just a mild cleanser or cleansing cloth if you are on-the-go. If you don’t have access to a cleanser, rinse your face with water at the very least. Oxy Face wash is gentle: it cleanses, exfoliates, soothes and hydrates in one easy step.
How to wash your face after a workout
Cleansing face with right cleansers is necessary for which you must know your skin type as well. The main thing is to get the dirt, grime, and sweat off your skin.
Use a gentle cleanser. Stay away from cleansers that contain sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate, an ingredient that can overly dry skin. Try an anti-bacterial cleanser with tea tree oil in it, a cooling gel-based face wash, or a gentle milky one that contains calming chamomile or lavender extracts.
Try lukewarm water. After using cleansers, end with a few splashes of cool (not cold) water. The lower temperature can cool your skin, but it can help close your pores, which dilate to help release sweat.
Pat your skin dry with a towel. Don’t wipe your wet face, pat it dry. Sometimes toweling off can irritate skin, particularly if your face gets really red when you work out.
Don’t dry your skin completely. Get it 90 percent of the way there, then let it air-dry. Somehow this helps curb an otherwise tight and overly dry feeling.
Treat inflammation. If you have sensitive skin, apply a green tea or resveratrol-based gel, serum, or light moisturizer to soothe inflammation. Then apply your moisturizer and sunscreen.
Save serious treatment products for bedtime. Even normal skin can be more sensitive right after a workout, so you may want to wait until redness dissipates or bedtime to use your super-active acne or anti-aging treatment products.
