Lips are what makes your face alluring. Applying lipstick seems to be easy but avoiding the cracking, bleeding, smearing or feathering of the lip color can be difficult. You might have wiped off the bleeding of your lips due to imperfection of your makeup. Here are some quick tricks to apply lipstick perfectly and avoid the smudging:
- Clean the lips
Firstly, clean lips and make it smooth. You can exfoliate lips more than twice a week. It removes dead skin cells so lipstick glides on and gets attached on the lips easily. You can make a scrub by mixing olive or jojoba or coconut oil with some brown sugar. Or else, you can rub with a soft bristle toothbrush dropping some Vaseline on the lips.
Moisturize the lips as this softens the lips and help to get the lipstick, lip liner or lip gloss evenly. Apply the lip balm from the upper lips and then follow to the lower one. Press two lips so that the lips can be soft evenly. Wipe off the balm if you notice the balm has been excessive or sticky. Otherwise, it prohibits the lipstick to go evenly
2. Use Lip Foundation
Applying the foundation on your lips is not emergent. Use a makeup brush or sponge to apply the foundation. The shade of the foundation should be as your face skin color. Getting foundation on the lips mainly will make your lips look natural. Smile stretching out your lips to reach the foundation in the every crease of the lips.
3. Define Lips with A Lip Liner
Applying lip liner lets the lipstick stay more hours without smudging. It controls the bleeding and makes your lips more appealing. Choose lip liner color as per your lipstick. Outline your upper lips first with an X sign. Then outline the lower lips. Finally, filling up the lower lips, then follow to the upper lips.
To get natural looking soft lips, apply the lip liner with the fingertips on the corners of the lips. It will soften the edges.
4. Choose lipstick according to your skin tone
The look of your lips depends on the choice of your lipstick color according to your skin tone. The texture, complication, and shade of your lips will be prettier and sexier if you can clearly find out what lipstick color is exactly fit for you.
You can use a lipstick applicator, like a brush or apply the lipstick directly from the tube. Start from the center of the lower lips and then go to the forward. Fill up the every crack. Then follow to the upper lips. Press the two lips softly to spread the lipstick color evenly. If need, apply the second coat. It will give the lips a long lasting, luscious and beautiful look.
5. In case you have excessive lipstick
Put a finger inside the mouth and press your lips around the finger. It will remove the lipstick color that may stain the teeth. Wipe off the color outside the corners or lip lines if any has. If you think it is not enough, apply a concealer outside the lip line matching with your skin tone or face foundation. It will cover up the excessive lipstick shade and prevent the color bleeding.
After applying the lipstick, cover up the lips with the thinner tissue papers and spread some translucent powder on the papers. Let the paper stay for some seconds. Then pull out the tissues. It will allow the lipstick color longer lasting. Try to use the angular brush. It takes the lips into a noticeable definition.
6. Finish your lip make up by applying Lip Gloss
Applying lip gloss gives your lips a little bit shine or gloss. It will also make the lips smooth and supple. If you don’t want glossy lips, just spread some translucent powder on the lips for 2-3 seconds. Then blend it onto the lips with a flat brush.
